Ingredients:

1 box of your favorite cake mix

18 – 24 small, heart shaped sugar cookies

White Cake Mate® Decorating Icing Pouch

Cake Mate® Cookie Icing

1 Bottle Cake Mate® Red Decorating Sugars

1 Package Cake Mate® 8-pack Decorating Tips

1 Package Cake Mate® Metallic Polka Dot Baking Cups

Instructions:

STEP 1  Bake cupcakes using Cake Mate® Metallic Polka Dot Baking Cups

STEP 2  Let cupcakes cool completely.

STEP 3  Using White Cake Mate® Decorating Icing Pouch fasted with the #2D tip, create a white swirled peak on top of the cupcake starting at the edge and working your way towards the center.

STEP 4  Decorate the heart shaped sugar cookies by piping a thin heart shaped border around the cookie with the cookie icing.

STEP 5  Carefully fill in the heart border on the cookies with cookie icing. Let the icing dry.

STEP 6  Sprinkle Cake Mate® Red decorating sugars on top of the cookies covering completely.   

STEP 7  Once the cookies have thoroughly dried, place one cookie in each cupcake center.
