Ingredients:
12 Sugar Cookies cut with a paisley or teardrop cookie cutter
1 Pouch each Cake Mate® Cookie Icing in White, and Blue
1 Package Cake Mate® Writing Icing
1 Bottle Cake Mate® Black Sugar
1 Bottle Cake Mate® White Shimmer Sugar
Instructions:
STEP 1 Bake 12 paisley or teardrop shaped cut sugar cookies.
STEP 2 On cooled cookies, outline & fill in the bird shape with Cake Mate® Blue Cookie Icing.
EXPERT TIP: Draw the outline of the bird, then go back and fill in the shape.
STEP 3 After the blue icing is set, use Cake Mate® White Cookie Icing to draw wing shapes.
STEP 4 Before the white icing sets, sprinkle wings with Cake Mate® White Shimmer Sugar.
STEP 5 Using Cake Mate® Blue Cookie or Writing icing, make small dots for the eyes.
STEP 6 Before the icing dots set, sprinkles with Cake Mate® Black Sugar.
STEP 7 Using Cake Mate® Yellow Writing icing, draw little beaks on each bird.
STEP 8 Allow cookies to set for at least one hour before serving.
